Mission

New Beginnings Ministries is called to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to a dying world in such a way that cause sinners to be converted into disciples who will in turn go into the world and reach others for Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).

Vision Statement

We are a church that exists to give God the glory (Soli Deo Gloria) and we are committed to empowering the saints of God, husband and wife and their families to discover the power of God through the Holy Spirit.

Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and that all scripture (Old and New Testament) governs the lives of Christians. (II Timothy 2:15)

One God

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate in the flesh. (John 10:30; John 14:6; Philippians 2:6)

We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, including the rapture and revelation. (Matthew 24:27; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 19:11-16)

Salvation

We believe that salvation comes only through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only begotten Son of God; conceived of the Holy Ghost; and, born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. (Matthew 1:21; Matthew 12:39-40; Matthew 20:17-19; John 3:16)

We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Repentance to God for every believer is necessary for the forgiveness of sin. (Romans 3:23)

We believe that sin separates man from God. The only way to reconcile man to God is to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and apply His blood to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Ephesians 1:7; I John 1:7-10; Revelation 1:5)

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8)

Holy Spirit

We believe that the receiving and indwelling of the Holy Ghost places you into the body of Christ and gives you the power to live righteously. (Acts 1:8; Romans 6:3-11; I Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 2:10-12)

We believe that the children of God are required to live a holy and sanctified life. (Romans 12:1-2; II Timothy 2:19; Ephesians 4:24-28; I Peter 3:8-18)

Baptism

We believe that water baptism, by immersion, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is for the remission of sin. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4)

We believe that in order for you to be written in the book of life, one must be born again. (John 3:3-5)

Communion

We believe that the Lord’s supper should be commemorated. (I Corinthians 11:24)

Showing Love

We believe we should be given to hospitality through customer service and support which exemplifies the Love of Christ. (Romans 12:13)

The Local Church

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live. We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22).

Heaven and Hell

We believe that Heaven and Hell are real eternal places and that our eternal destination is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Revelation 20:11-15; John 14:1-4; Romans 6:23; John 3:15-16).

Sanctity of Human Life

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalm 139).

Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. (Genesis 1:26-27)

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of New Beginning Ministries as the local body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to New Beginning Ministries members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by New Beginning Ministries in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender and Sexuality.

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of New Beginning Ministries. (Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 2:18-25; 1 Cor. 6:18, 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4; Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Matt. 5:16; Phil. 2:14-16; 1 Thess. 5:22; Acts 3:19-21; Rom. 10:9-10; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31).

Final Authority

The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final of all that we believe. For purposes of New Beginning Ministries faith, doctrine, practice, policy and discipline, our Board of Directors is the organization’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
